  • Does the dentist/hygienist explain the procedure and educate me on my oral health?
A.

  • After arriving for your appointment, you may be asked to fill out paperwork including: medical/dental history, insurance forms, consent forms, etc.
  • You will be taken to your exam room by a dental assistant or dental hygienist. They will review the information you have provided and likely take a set of x-rays to prepare for the doctor’s review.
  • Next the doctor will come in, reviews your x-rays, and begin your exam.
  • Once the doctor has gathered all the information they need, they will create a custom treatment plan for your needs and this will be reviewed with you. They will also answer any questions you may have.
  • After this visit, you will schedule your next visit, which most commonly will be your dental cleaning but may vary depending on your personal dental needs.
